about AHA Mental Health

Meet Dr. Lee Harris

AHA founder Dr. Lee Harris is a native Midwesterner and a graduate of Liberty High School in Liberty, Mo.

Lee was drawn to psychology as a teenager when he understood its potential to make a practical difference in people’s lives. Although Lee experienced success in the financial services industry as a bank vice president, he knew his calling was to help people experience change on a personal level.

Partnering with you in the process of change

Sometimes therapy can lead to sweeping changes in a person’s life. More frequently, it helps people navigate the challenges of the moment. While personal change can and does occur, it can’t be rushed.

“There are times we can look back and say, ‘You know what? We finished this course of therapy and look how much change you've made.’ But most of the gratification comes in the small changes you see with a person. It's a small change, but we can see we're making progress and it's helpful.”

Although Dr. Lee desires to help people grow, he does not view himself as a “fixer.”

“I don’t begin a counseling relationship with the idea of ‘fixing’ someone. My purpose is to help everyone make progress toward their personal goals. I don’t tell you what your goal should be or who you should be. I help you determine what you want, then work with you to take steps in the right direction.”

Dr. Lee’s diverse experience counseling children, youth and adults has given him a strong foundation to draw upon.

“Everything I've done has been different and quite unique. And that's what's led me to my approach with clients. For example, I might counsel five people on the topic of depression. However, each person is a distinct individual, and each is going to need something different from therapy. There's no cookie cutter. It’s a matter of discovering the approach that’s most helpful to a particular individual and pursuing it.”

about Amy Wieboldt

Meet Amy Wieboldt, MSW, LCSW

People of all ages face big feelings and confusing situations. You might be a preteen learning new emotions, a teen feeling overwhelmed or misunderstood, a young adult navigating stress and identity, an adult carrying more than you talk about, or a parent seeking support for your child. Therapy offers a place to sort things out and feel understood. You deserve a space where you can be yourself, talk openly, and feel supported without judgment. My role is to help you make sense of what you’re experiencing and learn tools that fit your life.

I support individuals and families navigating strong emotions, ADHD, trauma, anxiety, relationship stress, mental health symptoms, and life transitions that can feel overwhelming or isolating. I understand that every person is different, and I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to healing. I take time to learn who you are and what matters to you. This allows me to tailor our work in a way that helps you feel fully seen, known, and accepted.

Clients often tell me I’m easy to talk to, relatable, and steady in moments when they feel anything but steady. I use emotional skill-building, practical strategies, and supportive conversation to help you gain clarity and confidence. If faith is meaningful to you, I’m comfortable incorporating it into our work. If not, we focus on the values and supports that matter most to you. My goal is to help you feel understood, supported, and confident in who you are and who you are becoming.
